Privacy policy
Last updated: [DATE]
This policy explains how [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“Concourz”, “we”) handles personal information in the Concourz app, the pages Concourz shows to shops’ clients, and this website.
Who this covers
- Shops and their staff who use Concourz to run their business. For their account information we decide how it’s used.
- Shops’ clients, whose details a shop keeps in Concourz or who use a shop’s booking page, tracker, quote or account portal. For this information the shop decides how it’s used, and we process it on the shop’s behalf.
If you’re a shop’s client
The shop you do business with controls your information in Concourz: your name, phone, email, address, vehicle, photos of your vehicle, the work done, invoices and any agreement you signed. To see, correct or delete it, contact the shop. If you contact us, we’ll pass the request to them. We don’t market to shops’ clients or sell their information.
What we collect
- Account information: the email addresses of shop owners and staff who sign in, and which shop they belong to.
- Shop records: what a shop enters or its clients submit: client names and contact details, vehicles (make, model, color, plate, VIN, stock number), photos, damage notes, signed agreements, bookings, jobs, quotes, invoices, payments recorded, statements and messages.
- Billing: for a shop’s Concourz plan, Stripe collects the payment details; we receive the plan, status and Stripe identifiers, not card numbers.
- Client card payments: processed by Stripe; we receive the amount, a payment reference and, where Stripe provides it, the payer’s email.
- Technical information: the minimum needed to run the service securely, such as server logs of requests.
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking tools, on the app or this site.
How we use it
To provide Concourz: syncing a shop’s records across its devices, showing clients the pages their shop sends them, sending emails the shop turns on, reading vehicle details from photos when the shop uses photo ID, taking payments, billing shops, providing support, keeping the service secure, and meeting legal obligations.
Who we share it with
With the service providers that run parts of Concourz for us, only for that purpose:
- Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage, server functions), in the United States.
- Vercel (hosting the app and this website).
- Stripe (subscriptions and card payments).
- Resend (emails the shop turns on).
- Anthropic (reading vehicle details from a check-in photo, when photo ID is on).
- Open-Meteo (weather for mobile jobs; only the city is sent).
We also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (with the same protections). We don’t sell personal information.
Information on your device
The Concourz app stores the shop’s records in the browser on each device (local storage and IndexedDB) so it works offline, plus a sign-in session for shop accounts. These are needed for the app to work; they aren’t used for tracking. A client’s phone doesn’t store the shop’s records when viewing a booking page, tracker or quote.
How long we keep it
While a shop account is open, we keep its records until the shop deletes them. After an account closes we delete its records from our servers within [90] days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer (for example, billing records). Records on a shop’s own devices stay there until the shop clears them.
Your choices and rights
Shops can export or correct their records at any time and ask us to delete them. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to some uses. Shops’ clients should contact the shop first. To make a request, email ; we’ll respond within the time the law allows.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Access to each shop’s records is enforced by the database for every request. Photos are stored privately and shown to clients through expiring links. Card numbers are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we’ll notify you as the law requires. More detail: your data.
Children
Concourz is for businesses and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post changes here with a new date, and tell shops by email or in the app when a change is significant.
